It’s Official: The Celtics Have Bought the Maine Red Claws

Cool Sports News: The Maine Red Claws have officially been purchased by the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics and Maine Red Claws made it official today at a joint press conference at the Portland Expo. The team will stay in Portland. The price was not disclosed.

Great news if you are a Celtics fan, because, like our Portland Sea Dogs and their association with the Red Sox, you'll get to see lots of future Celtics play here in Maine as Red Claws. Sweet!

And speaking of future Celtics...BRING ON TACKO! Tacko Fall will be playing in Portland this year, and that alone should fill the Expo bleachers.
