The math makes sense, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with! Because kids are back in school, our morning commutes have gotten longer and more frustrating. Once the school year starts up, getting into work takes us 30% longer because there are more cars and busses on the road. That stop/start journey when driving behind a school bus translates to an extra 7 minutes of commute time, so plan accordingly! The study also showed that 32% of us usually show up at work annoyed by traffic, 27% have experienced road rage during their commute and only 12% say that they enjoy their commute most of the time. Maybe we should use that extra 35 minutes a week in traffic to meditate!

Don't forget to stop at crosswalks!
