According to the Sun Journal, Lewiston's Marcotte Park will be receiving New England's first Universally Accessible Park which is designed so that children of all abilities can play and interact. Disney has awarded $30,000 through their "Meet Me At The Park" program for the park to be built.

Disney has joined forces with the National Park & Recreation Association to provide a million families full access to play spaces. Lewiston is one of 25 cities to receive funding and the project should be complete this fall.
