According to WGME, Maine school districts are struggling to find qualified teachers, some need bus drivers too. The situation is getting dire with only a few weeks until the beginning of the school year.

Education job boards have lots of positions that have yet to be filled. If you're looking for a teaching gig, put on your super-hero cape and get out there!

The Lewiston School District has job openings for 46 ed techs and 37 teachers. They are mostly in need of English teachers to teach English as a second language. Recruiters are having a really difficult time finding applicants with the required certifications. If you are qualified, the district is offering a $100 bonus for you to work 12 days a month.

Also on the hunt for teaching talent:

  • Berwick needs ten substitute teachers.
  • Cumberland is looking for 7 Special Ed. teachers.
  • Five bus drivers are needed in Windham.
  • Auburn has open positions for ten substitute teachers.
