Jeff Paradis of South Monmouth posted a video on his Facebook timeline over the weekend that has gone viral. The selfie-mode video recorded outside Maine Veterans Hospital has been shared 8000+ times since Saturday and has already received well over 130,000 views.

Jeff tells the heart-wrenching story of two of his brothers who in the past week who "wanted to leave this f-in' planet". Fortunately, they got in for mental health services and got help before it was too late.

Mr. Paradis' pure emotion and uncensored real talk has touched many of our neighbors here in Maine and beyond. He reminds us all to take care of our brave veterans who have given so much. Jeff speaks so intensely from the heart as a veteran himself who served in the US Army Infantry 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan.

Jeff Paradis closes with an important message for us all as we look in mirror. "That person staring back at you every f-in' day, YOU'RE F-IN' WORTH IT!"  And Jeff, thank you for your continued service. The world needs more people like you, that's for sure.
