Somebody Feed Maine: Phil Rosenthal Returns to Portland This Week for One-Night-Only Event
One of America’s most beloved travelers is returning to Maine this week—but this time, he’s taking the stage.
Phil Rosenthal, the charming host of the hit Netflix series Somebody Feed Phil, is back in the Pine Tree State as season eight of his show continues to captivate audiences around the globe.
Rosenthal will be hitting the road for a series of live shows across the country. And wouldn’t you know it—one of those shows is right here in Maine, at Portland’s Merrill Auditorium, this coming Tuesday, September 9.
Phil Rosenthal is Ready to Entertain Portland, Maine
According to the event page, the show will feature a moderated conversation with Rosenthal that covers his entire career, from television writing to food travels, and everything in between. The event will even include an audience Q&A.
This is an excellent opportunity for any Rosenthal fan to get up close and personal with him, and to be entertained by his incredible experiences in the entertainment industry and around the world.
Rosenthal is no stranger to our great state. He brought his hit television show to Maine a few years ago and featured many popular spots. The episode also included a visit to an incredible farm run by some of his extended family.
Phil Rosenthal Has Quite the History in Maine
It's safe to say Rosenthal always has a great time in Maine. Not only does he have family here, but his trip for the show clearly left a lasting impression. In fact, when he sat down with Forbes to discuss that season, he mentioned that his favorite meal came from Maine—at Biddeford's famed Palace Diner. The tiny establishment, originally built in 1927, absolutely floored Phil, which certainly doesn't surprise anyone who has been to that diner.
This is certainly a show no Rosenthal fan will want to miss, including yours truly, who has never missed an episode of Somebody Feed Phil. In fact, I think I’ve seen most of them twice… maybe even three times.
