Shipyard Brewing Co.’s 20th Birthday Bash Rocked [VIDEO/PHOTOS]
Had the honor of hosting the Shipyard Brewing Company's 20th Birthday Bash on the State of Maine Pier this past Saturday. This is what I saw.... until my cell phone battery went out.
The weather was stunning and the beer was flowing. I'm no Marty Scorsese, but here's some of the highlights featuring Amy & the Engine, the Jason Spooner Band, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, Model Airplane and North of Nashville. My apologies to Sly Chi and Rustic Overtones for having cell phone battery issues. More photos below-
Here's Sly Chi w/ Shipyard Owner Fred Forsley.
Great sunset pic of Sly Chi doing their thing. They were fantastic as usual!
This is Model Airplane. I honestly had no idea who they were til I asked Max Cantlin (far right), who we've had on our show many times with other bands and he said he was in it. They absolutely killed. I went from not knowing who they were to being a huge fan in less than an hour. I'm definitely going to work on having them into the studio.
I wish this picture of North of Nashville came out better. The sun was a challenge. Jay is standing on top of his drums and Andrew is shredding his fiddle. These guys continue to be one of the best live acts in New England. They announced their New Year's Eve show at the Asylum in Portland - better get those tickets early. Congrats to Andrew and his wife on their newborn this past week!
Rustic Overtones headlined a great night.
Hardcore.
My fav pic of the day. Honey!
BIG THANKS to Bruce and Fred Forsley for another great party, 20 years of Shipyard and Pumpkinhead this fall-
