Election Day can be a real @!#$! show. My boss told me not to use that term, but there is no other way to describe the chaos that occurs at voting sites during lunch breaks and after work. Everyone is trying to do their civic duty and vote, but it's a hassle to fit it in on a busy work/school day. A new bill would designate Election Day to be a state holiday, right up there with Thanksgiving, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Washington's Birthday, Patriot's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day and Christmas Day.
