Stressed out? Relax with some goats on a sweet little hike through a farm in Gray.

The Ten Apple Farm is recognizing veterans on Veterans Day with free hikes for any vets. The hiking with their herd of Alpine dairy goats is open to everyone next Wednesday the 11th.

You'll want to wear something orange for the hike. The goats will all be wearing their orange scarves for hunting season.

Don't have a lot of hunter orange in your closet? No worries, the farm will have some orange for you.

If you've never been on a Ten Apple Farm goat hike, do yourself a favor and do it! It's a two-hour educational and recreational goat experience. It's not long or hard, just fun. It's about a one and a half mile loop through the woods on lightly groomed trails. You'll want to make sure to hold your kid's hand if they are around 5-6 and 4 and under, plan on carrying them.

You'll learn a lot about Alpine goats and what they are used for including dairy, fiber, land management, as pack animals, and you’ll learn a thing or two about raising and caring for goats. After the hike, you’ll be able to sample some fresh goat milk and cookies! Bonus, goat milk tastes just like cow's milk. It's actually quite good.

$15 per adult, $10 for teens & seniors, $5 for kids (ages 5-12).

There are safety COVID restrictions and requirements that you will want to read and follow.

Normally, the end of a hike would end with a goat milking lesson in the barn, but they are unable to do that thanks to COVID. Hopefully very soon....
