It's good to be in the donut business. After a year of ups and downs, Maine's most notable donut shop, The Holy Donut, has plans to open multiple new locations in 2021. You likely already know the Holy Donut moving into the space vacated by Bill's Pizza in Portland's Old Port but that won't be the only new location in southern Maine this year. The Holy Donut plans to open a new shop in Arundel as well.

According to MaineBiz, The Holy Donut will be opening a new location at 1181 Portland Road. The Holy Donut will need some time to build out the new Arundel location to suit them but are hopeful to have a grand opening at some point in August of this year. It'll be more than just another location for burgeoning donut company, it'll be their first shop in York County.

It should be a big and very busy couple of months for The Holy Donut. Their new Portland location along Commercial Street is on-schedule to open at the beginning of July. That location offers them incredible visibility and easier access for donut lovers. Their Arundel location offers them a chance to expand their footprint and reach to some of Maine's hottest cities right now, including Biddeford. After both locations open, The Holy Donut will be up to five locations in Maine, with shops in Scarborough, Auburn, Arundel and two in Portland.
