The WBLM Saturday Night Concert Series Returns With Bob Seger
Still no concerts to go to? Still…no…problem.
The Blimp brings you rock shows from the greatest bands of all time right into your living room.
Or maybe head outside? Connect the WBLM App to the biggest Bluetooth speaker you’ve got, get some chairs around the fire pit and crack some cold ones.
Last fall, we rocked live with mind-blowing performances from Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, The Eagles, AC/DC, and many more.
Who else is doin’ that for ya on the radio? Nobody, my friend.
Now that springtime is here, let's party on Saturdays with live rock 'n roll from the Blimp Archives.
This weekend, we proudly present an electrifying performance from Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in their hometown.
It was captured live at Detroit's Cobo Hall in September of 1975.
That historic two-night stand went on to be forever part of our record collection on the classic double album, 'Live' Bullet.
You'll hear the whole thing on the next WBLM Saturday Night Concert.
Showtime is 7pm and we've got your front row seat for Bob Seger live on WBLM.
Bob Seger played a total of 4 shows in Maine from 1970 to 2014 with two at the Civic Center, one in 1978 and one in 1980. At his first appearance in 1970, his band was called The Bob Seger System.
It certainly ain't no 'Live' Bullet. But, listen to this very cool rarity.
Here's The Bob Seger System recorded live in Maine at the Portland Expo 50 years ago.
FYI...The first two songs are performed by the opening act.
Check out the full setlist from Bob Seger's first concert in Maine on September 30, 1970.
