Things That Make You Appear Smarter

Who doesn't want to look smarter?! I glued my fingers together AGAIN the other day so I need all the help I can get! Image experts have actually proven that glasses DO make you look smarter!

According to a survey you can appear more intelligent by:

• Walking the same speed as the people around you. You don't want to appear panicked and harried, but you also don't want to look lost. Both situations make you seem less competent.
• Using your middle initial. In a study last year, people's writing samples were rated more favorably when the author's middle initial was used in their byline.
• Avoiding alcohol, not only because being drunk does make you stupid, but because even just HOLDING a drink makes you seem less intelligent, according to the study.
• And finally, a real stumper to me, don't use big words. You would think people would be all impressed over an expansive vocabulary, but NO! Keep your fancy words to yourself.
