Today’s Blimp Time-Hop

He was born Stephen Ray Perry in Hanford, California on January 22, 1949. Happy 69th Birthday to the guy best known as the lead vocalist of Journey, Steve Perry! 

He fronted the band  from 1977 to 1987 and 1995 to 1998. Steve also had a pretty successful solo career which he hopes to be relaunching with a new release in the future. He is an incredibly powerful singer who has been nicknamed “The Voice” by Jon Bon Jovi.

At Journey's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year Steve Perry didn't sing with his old band like we'd hoped. It still sure was great to see him share the stage for the honor.

 We count 3 Journey shows (with Steve!) at the Civic Center in Portland.
