Today’s Blimp Time-Hop

31 years ago, Aerosmith rocked a sold out show at the Civic Center. This tour was to support their comeback album Done With Mirrors which marked the return of Joe Perry (who left the band in 1979) and Brad Whitford (who exited in 1981).  It was the band’s second live trek after the reunion of the classic Aerosmith lineup in 1984 on the Back in the Saddle Tour.

Ted Nugent opened most of the dates including this epic night in Portland on April 16, 1986. Sweaty Teddy returns to Portland this summer at the all-new Aura (formerly Asylum). Tickets are on-sale now.

Flash forward to today in the Aerosphere: The Bad Boys from Boston are putting their Aero-Vederci "Farewell" tour on hold, while they work on a new album.
