24 years ago Def Leppard  asked Portland, “Do you wanna get rocked?”  The answer was a resounding “F*** yeah!” when Blimpsters filled the Civic Center to capacity on March 31, 1993 for Def Lep’s 4th visit, on the Adrenalize tour. Even in the face of the rising popularity of grunge rock like Pearl Jam and Nirvana, our old friends Joe, Rick, Phil and Sav managed to sell-out Portland’s biggest venue. This was also the debut appearance of new guitarist, Vivian Campbell formally of Dio and Whitesnake who replaced the late great Steve Clark.

Check out the acoustic jam they did covering AC/DC, Metallica and the Rolling Stones!

Def Leppard Setlist Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, ME, USA 1993, Adrenalize

Remarkably, the band has remained intact with this line-up from then till now. We are wicked pumped that the Leps will be back to rock us live next week with Poison and Tesla at the SNHU Arena in Manchester. They're kicking off the tour in Blimpville!
