These guys never disappoint. Their comic timing, the local references they make, the hilarious facial expressions complete with authentic Maine accents, always make us bust out laughing. They really are a much needed relief as we struggle through the daily dread of the ongoing pandemic.

These guys are Troy and Mark. They are played by James Theberge and Ian Stuart respectively.

Their pretty much weekly internet series 'Welcome To Maine' debuted last August and has established them as our favorite tourism guides. Why's that?

Well, it's because they actually teach us about some fun facts about our state, all while irreverently satirizing the wacky things that make us uniquely Mainers. Troy drops the knowledge on us and Mark brilliantly responds to everything he says, with "Yuht", "Oh Yuht" and "Ohhhhhhhh Yuht". And how the hell does he do that crazy thing with his eyes?
Troy and Mark have hilariously reported from Portland Head Light, The Desert of Maine, The Moxie Store in Lisbon Falls, B & M Baked Beans in Portland, the Paul Bunyan statue in Bangor, Stephen King's house, the Cryptozoology Museum and more.

The 'Welcome To Maine' fanbase is growing bigger and bigger everyday. Troy proudly announces to Mark in this latest video, "We're famous, dude." and that he recently "was recognized in the beer aisle at Hannaford." Well now that they are fast becoming a household name, Troy advises Mark that they have earned the right to drink the good stuff...no more "swill" for these new local stars.

Ian and James can be found performing live stand up comedy for social distanced audiences at Stroudwater Distillery on Thompson's Point in Portland. The socially distanced shows are on Thursdays at 7pm and ya gotta make a reservation.
