A fast-moving line of thunderstorms caused severe damage in some Maine communities Tuesday and spared many others, according to WMTW.The Portland television news station reported that some of the worst damage occurred in York where the storm left as many as 7,000 people without power and toppled trees that crushed some cars and damaged several homes. There was also a tornado watch in effect Somerset and Franklin counties and some storm damage was reported in St. Albans.
