A few weeks back, there was the story of a woman who stopped a fire in the woods using a pan to bring water to the flames. Apparently, this isn't the first time a Maine woman bravely fought danger using this kitchen utensil. Bangor Daily News writers Seth Koenig and Troy R. Bennett have created a music video to teach us something we probably didn't know about historic Portland, Maine. According to the BDN Facebook page, it was 242 years ago today that a hero named Alice Greely stood her ground against the British. Her only defense was a frying pan. Check out this great new ballad  about a great old story, "Alice Greely's Frying Pan". We love the performance guys! Great use of the cast iron pan for percussion too!
