We are so glad to finally see some rain today. It has been exceptionally dry in Maine for this time of year. When I mowed my lawn yesterday, I created quite a dust storm.

The lack of rain has more importantly created dangerous conditions for forest fires. Luckily, we have an incredible team at the Maine Forest Rangers who coordinate with local fire departments to get the forest fires under control and extinguished.

Check out this aerial video of an attack on a wildfire last week at Chesuncook in the northern Maine woods of Piscataquis County. Thank Maine Forest Rangers!
