This is a sign that Spring is definitely here. The first births of the season happened at Sunflower Farm in Cumberland over the weekend. We can't wait to cuddle with the new little sweeties. In a couple weeks, we can! Starting Sunday April 28, the farm will be open to visitors who seek the magical serenity of holding these beautiful critters.

Here's the exciting news of the first two arrivals from the Sunflower Farm YouTube channel:

"Welcome to Calypso and Cosmo! Moonspot had 2 beautiful healthy babies this afternoon. This video was taken when they were less than 1/2 hour old. Isn't it amazing how they can be up and nursing and already so full of personality? Moonspot is a super sweet mama. Nigerian Dwarf goats usually have a gestation of 145 days and today was 147 so we have been excitedly waiting! They are perfect! 24 mama goats left to kid. Matilda who looks over the divider to see what's up was also due two days ago so she should have kids soon too! I LOVE spring and baby goats! Thanks to all of you who sent your best wishes! It worked! A perfect delivery! You can watch them on the farm's live feed and maybe catch Matilda delivering here. http://www.sunflowerfarm.info/sunflow..."

It can be an anxious world out there for sure. We could all probably benefit from a few minutes with a baby goat in our lap. The moment is looks so calm that the two of you might even nap. Even if you can't make it to the farm, this video guaranteed to soothe your soul.
