With branches and entire trees taken down by the wrath of the first nor'easter of the season, there was no lack of rubbernecking left and right by Mainahs checking out the damage while driving into work.

Of course downed trees mean downed power lines as well. News Center Maine reports there were over 200,000 power outages Thursday.

Plenty of wild sights to wow us on the morning commute that's for sure.  Not much tops what Colby Thomas saw earlier today on Bacon Street in Biddeford.

He captured the dazzling display of a transformer exploding like and sounding like fireworks.

Check out Colby's video from our friends at News Center Maine and make sure to turn up the volume for this one.
