As people begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to the pandemic, more projects and plans are being set in motion once again. That includes an intriguing new brewery set to open in Biddeford called Lucky Pigeon.

Lucky Pigeon plans to give you all the vibes you'd expect from a notable Maine craft brewery, but what they won't give you is anything with gluten.

According to Portland Food Map, Lucky Pigeon plans to launch as Maine's first exclusively gluten-free brewery.

Lucky Pigeon will be located near Banded Brewing in the Pepperell Mill in Biddeford. Renovations are ongoing with Lucky Pigeon's tasting room, but according to their Facebook page, the brewery intends to offer curbside pickup or delivery prior to the tasting room being open to the public. Lucky Pigeon plans to have several styles of beers available, including IPAs, porters, brown ales and seasonal batches as well.

When Lucky Pigeon does officially open, it'll continue the upward trend of new businesses, including breweries, opening in Biddeford. Even with the pandemic, commercial and industrial space in Portland remains limited and expensive, making a burgeoning city like Biddeford a very attractive option. Lucky Pigeon will be Biddeford's fourth brewery, joining Banded, Run of the Mill and Blaze Brewing. All of the breweries are within walking distance of one another.

Lucky Pigeon plans to continue updating their progress and officially announce the opening date of their tasting room on their social media pages in the coming weeks.
