Yup, this is a BIG one today. He was born Robert Zimmerman on May 24, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota. Happy 78th Birthday to Bob Dylan! He is the voice of his generation (although he’d probably deny it). His music, art and wisdom continue to inspire young and old as a major influence on our culture for over 50 years.

According to setlist.fm,  Bob Dylan has played an amazing 31 shows in Maine. My brother Gary still talks about the Rolling Thunder Revue show in 1975 at the Augusta Civic Center and ranks it in his top 5 shows of all time. And who can forget Bob's glorious little residency at The State Theatre in October of 1994.

His concert history in our state goes way back to the beginning too. The very first Dylan show was in Memorial Gym at UMO in 1964. Crazy, right? 52 years later, in July of 2016, Bob Dylan performed his 31st time here at Thompson's Point.
