Blimpville Legends of Rock Live: Vote for Queen, The Grateful Dead or Aerosmith
WBLM has hit an epic milestone. We're talking 50 years of rock and roll.
To celebrate, we want to get your hot takes on the greatest live concerts in Blimpville history.
Cast a vote for one of three legendary concerts that rocked Blimpville below.
This week's matchup sees Queen at the Lewiston Armory in February 1975 go against The Grateful Dead at Oxford Plains Speedway in July 1988 and Aerosmith at the Cumberland County Civic Center in January 1998, also known as “The Ice Strom Concert.”
Make sure to vote because the poll closes Friday at noon.
Then, on Saturday at 6 p.m., the legendary concert with the most votes will be declared the winner, and WBLM will play a full hour of live, in-concert music from that band.
Oh, and if that's not awesome enough, we're going commercial-free for it. Did you hear that? Commercial free!
Who do you think will win? Who do you want to hear?
Don't miss out on voting, and celebrate along with WBLM as we rock out for an epic year 50.
Many of you have been along for this wild and crazy ride. And if you've got stories, you can share them with us right here.
Did you know that the first song played on WBLM was "The Story in Your Eyes" by The Moody Blues?
Here's to another 50 with Maine's classic rock station, the Blimp, 102.9 WBLM. Rock on, Blimpsters. Rock on.
