This time, they will go where the closed Kmart was on Elm Street in Waterville, according to WMTW, and Hobby Lobby confirmed recently that they would open there.

They have locations in Auburn and Bangor. They are hoping to open in early 2020.

According to Wikipedia, Hobby Lobby stores are open every day except Sunday so that employees to have more time for worship, rest, and family. Their website states:

This has not been an easy decision for Hobby Lobby because we realize that this decision may cost us financially. Yet we also realize that there are things more important than profits. This is a matter of principle for our company owner and officers.

Back in 2012, Hobby Lobby sued to get out of new regulations requiring health insurance provided by employers to cover emergency contraceptive, based on their religious beliefs.  The case went to the Supreme Court and they won.

A judge granted in 2013, that the company is exempt from the contraceptive-providing mandate.
