With a new Electric Light Orchestra album out now and a new film in the Star Wars saga being released this week, it feels like 1977 all over again. "When I was a boy", I didn't dream that I would be enjoying these precious gifts that take us to galaxies "far, far away" at Christmastime, 38 years later.

Electric Light Orchestra has been re-branded as Jeff Lynne's ELO with no lack of the musical magic we enjoyed growing up. Jeff and the band are on a promotional tour for the new album, Alone in the Universe. Last month they performed live on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and the other night they took the late night stage for the first time on Jimmy Kimmel Live. In case you missed it, here's Jeff Lynne's ELO with a rendition of the classic Evil Woman from the album Face the Music, sounding just as great as the original recording. What a band! It's also very cool to see original ELO keyboardist, Richard Tandy on the piano solo! Enjoy!
