With a new Electric Light Orchestra album out now and a new film in the Star Wars saga being released this week, it feels like 1977 all over again. "When I was a boy", I didn't dream that I would be enjoying these precious gifts that take us to galaxies "far, far away" at Christmastime, 38 years later.
It's no sacred secret that I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the first Electric Light Orchestra album in over a decade. Last night I was so psyched to find that I could listen to the whole thing before it is officially released.
Jeff Lynne keeps teasing ELO fans with another amazing performance. Last fall he wowed 50,000 people at London's Hyde Park and now he brings ELO back to life again on the Grammy Awards last night. Jeff Lynne joined by original ELO keyboardist, Richard Tandy and pop artist Ed Sheeran, played a really short version of Evil Woman and Mr. Blue Sky. It sounded incredible!
