Maine Tops List of October Travel Destinations

Yay us! We all know that the dazzling display of color that is about to unfold in our state is breathtakingly beautiful. It's certainly one of the big reasons we love living here. Now the scenic views of autumn in Maine are getting national attention.

Vacationland has been named the Number One October travel destination by CNN Travel. Yup. Not only are we the state to visit in the summer, Maine is also the best place to experience the gorgeous transition to fall.

CNN says,

"The biggest state in New England has its charms all year, but autumn is a magic time here. And a good bit of that really comes down to its impressive fall foliage."

We even beat Honolulu Hawaii!
