The Portland Sea Dogs season gets underway on April 5th in Binghamton against the Rumble Ponies. Their home opener is Friday, April 13th at 6pm as they host Binghamton at Hadlock Field.

There will be a lot of exciting promotions and guest appearances this season for the Sea Dogs and one tradition will return, a player from the New England Patriots will visit for a game, throw out the first pitch, and hang around to sign autographs.

The Sea Dogs have had several Patriots players come to Hadlock Field over the past years including Jacoby Brissett last season, Dion Lewis the year before that, Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler, Shane Vereen, Rob Ninkovitch, Patrick Chung, Rob Gronkowski and Steve Grogan have all enjoyed a Sea Dogs game.

This year Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore will be the guest of honor on April 30th when the Dogs host the Trenton Thunder.
