Portland’s Sea Bags Is Sewing Masks And Face Shields For Mainers
Sea Bags in Portland's Old Port, is known for creating bags and totes out of recycled sails; they also carry home goods, jewelry, key chains, bar tools, hats, t-shirts and more. Sea Bags has pivoted to meet the needs of the community, and they are using their resources to provide masks and face shields to Mainers.
Sea Bags has provided masks to the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough and 75 State Street, which is an assisted living facility. They are also working to fulfill orders for the Maine Dept. of Transportation and the City of Portland.
The staff at Sea Bags has been creative, and they work as quickly as they can to meet the needs of the community.
Sea Bags has made masks available for the community to buy online as well. The cost is $45 for 5 washable masks.
