According to the Portland Press Herald, the town of Skowhegan now holds bragging rights to a Guiness World Record for moose calling. Last June 1,054 people at the 2018 Skowhegan Moose Festival took part in the grunting and moaning to set the record. A registered guide gave the crowd a lesson on moose calling, here's how it went down...

The Moose Festival is the social event of the season in Skowhegan, and they set an attendance record in 2018 when 6,000 people showed up for the three-day event. I've never been, but it sounds like a blast and I think I'll take the family this year.

There was a sit-down breakfast in Constitution Hall, live music, moose calling contests for kids and grown ups, horse-drawn wagon rides, live music, archery, fly-fishing and hunting demos, seminars with experts and more.

According to the Main St. Skowhegan Facebook page, there will be a World Record Celebration tomorrow, (Friday, Feb. 15th),  from noon to 3 at the Main Street Skowhegan office. You can enjoy refreshments and get your picture taken with the official Guinness Record certificate.
