South Portland Guy Sets Kitchen On Fire To Get Rid Of Roommate
According to the Portland Press Herald, things got so heated between two South Portland roommates that one of them set the kitchen on fire in an attempt to get the other to move out.
A few well placed hints may have let James Griffin's roommate know that it was time to move out, but instead James set their kitchen table on fire. Nobody was hurt, with the exception of the table, part of the floor and a cabinet. Griffin's roommate had been sleeping, woke up to the spectacle and beat feet out of there.
Griffin is facing arson charges which carry a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison, where I hear it's tough getting good roommates.
