It’s a very special celebration tonight on the WBLM Mini-Concert. We’ll remember the “quiet” Beatle, George Harrison, a humble and infinitely talented man. George passed away 15 years ago this week, on November 29, 2001.
A year later on the first anniversary of his death, The Concert for George took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall. It was organized by George’s wife, Olivia and their son, Dhani. The music was directed by Eric Clapton and Jeff Lynne. They also performed that night with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Tom Petty and many more of George’s closest friends. We’ll relive this beautiful tribute tonight at 6:20 on WBLM.

Watch his last recorded live performance from 1997 below. If you love George like we love George, this’ll get ya.
