He was born Edward Lodewijk Van Halen January 26, 1955 in the Netherlands. He is hands down one of the greatest and most influential guitar players that has ever walked the earth. Happy 61st Birthday to Eddie Van Halen!  Rolling Stone magazine ranked has him at number 8 on the list of 100 Greatest Guitarists. Okay we said he was born in the Netherlands but, his talent is not of this Earth. Whatever planet he’s from, everybody there plays guitar!
