Man, oh man, November 11 is a huge day in Blimp history for legendary names at the Civic Center! Queen, Jimmy Page and Fleetwood Mac all came to rock Portland’s biggest indoor venue on Veteran’s Day over the years. We did Queen on Tuesday night, Led Zep last night, and tonight we celebrate a sold-out show with Fleetwood Mac. While Stevie Nicks had appeared at the CCCC in the past, this was Fleetwood Mac's first and only show there. Mick Fleetwood John McVie, Christine McVie and Stevie rockin' Portland, Maine! 25 years ago this week, on November 11, 1990 the Behind the Mask tour came to Blimpville without Lindsey Buckingham. He was replaced by not one, but two guitarists, Rick Vito and Billy Burnette. My new wife and I were on our honeymoon that weekend so we didn't make to the show. Tommy C (The biggest Mac fan I know) did go and remembers it being a great night out! He says "Billy Burnette sounded great singing with Stevie and Christine and even though he's not a guitar wiz, his licks sounded just fine in the absence of Lindsey."

Join us tonight at 6:20 for live Fleetwood Mac on the WBLM Mini-Concert!
