Tonight’s WBLM Mini-Concert [VIDEO]
15 years ago today. Sting played a sold-out show at the Civic Center. This was his third concert appearance in Portland and his second sell-out. He'd previously been here in '82 for a sold-out night with the Police and in '88 on his solo Nothing Like the Sun tour. On May 25, 2001, Sting brought the Brand New Day tour to Maine. It was an incredible night of top-notch musicianship with a set-list that was loaded with hits from his solo catalog and some Police classics for us rockers in the audience. Sting was in the Police from 1977 to 1983 before launching a solo career and is one of the world’s best selling artists with over 100 million records sold, with and without the legendary power trio.
Join us tonight at 6:20 for live Police on the WBLM Mini-Concert!
