What a great visit on my birthday last week from my dear friend since childhood, Noel LeVasseur. He stopped in to say hello and show the studios to his daughter Madison. After we took a walk around the digs here at One City Center, I asked Noel if he'd be willing to share his moving story of his battle against ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease on the air. He happily obliged. This is a gracious fella who's never at a loss for words.

After Noel chatted with me on BLM, we received numerous phone calls and messages from Blimpsters who had gotten choked up and teary listening to two old friends. In case you missed it or just wanna hear this moving Maine radio moment again, here it is.

Great people like Noel are rare. His infectious smile and kind blue eyes are a light to the world. His love of sports and devotion to kids through coaching has made an immeasurable difference in so many lives.

Please join us for what be a memorable night of love at The Calumet Club in Augusta on Saturday, March 3. Doors will open at 6pm with a $10 donation at the door. Live music from the Piranha Brothers Band starts at 8pm. There will also be a silent auction and live auction hosted by yours truly and my homie, Duane.

I'll be bringing along some autographed items from Imagine Dragons, Faith Hill, Robert Plant and more as part of the auctions.  For more information, visit the Noel Levasseur Benefit Facebook page. WBLM is LeVasseur Strong and we hope to see you there!
