Happy Opening Day! NESN's Tom Caron joined the WBLM Morning Show today and everyone seemed wicked excited that baseball is back! It's been 266 days in between MLB games

OK, things are really weird when it comes to sports right now. The Bruins started camp yesterday to get ready for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in AUGUST. You can send them a video of your cheering and they might play it at a B's game...which will all be held in Toronto. Or how about South Korea, where they are putting stuffed animals in the empty stands to make it look better. Or, in New York, where the Mets will be putting cardboard cut-outs of fans in the stands. I guess it's kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of thing. Either way, it's just weird.

NESN's Tom Caron called into the WBLM Morning Show today to talk all things New England Sports. You remember sports. right? Our epic, insatiable, completely irrational passion for all things Bruins, Sox, Pats, Celtics, Revs, and more? Yes...THOSE sports. Things are slowly but surely starting to ramp up for all the major sports. The B's, C's and Sox all get going (hopefully) this month. The Patriots start training camp this month too!

Maybe the one thing we miss more than live concerts....and going to bars....and restaurants...is watching and going to sports games. Watching the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics ia a part of our everyday lives around here. Even just having a Sox game on in the background at home is a ritual. To confess to you, I've actually put on old Red Sox games of late and just had the sound on in the background. Try it. It works and scratches that sports itch a little. Now, if you need more than a scratch we have this epic video for you. It celebrates every Boston sports team championship since 2000. And all compressed into 6 minutes. In case you lost count...which is easy because all we do is win around here, it's 6 Super Bowls. 4 World Series. 1 Stanley Cup. 1 NBA Title. For 12 total championships. Oh, how sweet it is!

While we totally understand, it is definitely a bummer. We are sure that our Northeast Deadheads were looking forward to the healing power of a live music experience with Bobby, John, Mickey, Billy, Oteil and Jeff.

Axl, Duff, and Slash will bring their Larger Than Life Global Stadium Tour to Fenway for a show on Tuesday July 21. Tickets are on sale Friday.

The great Tom Caron is back from London and back on the Blimp this week. And what a week it was for Major League Baseball, the Red Sox and their now ex-manager Alex Cora. TC had a great take on the dismissal of Cora, what it means for baseball and who the Sox may get as their next manager. All of this as the Sox have their Fan Fest this weekend.

The Red Sox won Game Five and the World Series Sunday night in Los Angeles.

No one articulates frenzy we all went through better or more hilariously than our old pal Fitzy. He's back with his foul-mouthed, belch-punctuated analysis of the two routes we alternated between that brought us back to work feeling awesome!

TC predicts that the Celtics close out the Wizards tonite and tells us that the Sox are doing a good job hanging in there with a bunch of players on the DL...

The Sox are already 2-0 and are gonna be World Series contenders. The Sea Dogs season starts today at Hadlock. Baseball is back and all is right with the World!
