MAMM SLAM Saturday! Maine’s Battle of The High School Rock Bands
Saturday is the big day for the 2018 MAMM SLAM. Maine's annual High School Band Rock-Off is happening at Empire in Portland. Doors open at 1 pm and tickets cost $12 for adults, $7 for students, and children under 5 are free. If you know someone in a band, they will have $2 off coupons for the show. The event is put on by the amazing Maine Academy of Modern Music, who is Maine's biggest statewide music school. Come on down. You won't believe how GOOD these kids are!

Good luck to all the bands on Saturday. They will be playing for the title of MAMM SLAM CHAMPS plus some pretty cool prizes like $1000, sponsored by the Maine Live Real Estate Co., along with coveted recording time, radio appearances, A gig opening for Guster at Thompson's POint this summer, a tour of Gateway Mastering, and college scholarships to the Maine College of Art (MECA) of up to $16,000 per year to each member of the winning band.
