It turns out that some of my "slickest" bartending moves are all wrong! From cork popping to frosted glasses, let me set you straight!

Here are some common myths and mistakes:

  • Using a frosted beer glass. It looks really cool and like you went that extra classy step to provide a proper beer drinking experience, but the frostiness makes the beer foam up and it kills the flavor!
  • Popping a Champagne cork. The correct way to uncork Champagne is to untwist the wire basket on top of the cork but leave it on. Put your thumb on top of it and twist the BOTTLE while holding the cork! Here's a video for you.
  • Too much, or not enough glass-tilt when pouring beer. To keep the foam down, hold the glass at a 45 degree angle.
  • Letting the bottle touch the wine glass when pouring wine makes you a classless heathen.
  • Taking Tylenol for a hangover is a no-no as well. The alcohol in your system makes the acetaminophen in Tylenol toxic for your liver. aspirin or Ibuprofen are better choices.
Please drink responsibly, we adore you.
