Portland Driver Attempts to Drive Down Railroad Tracks
We're not sure what this person was thinking, but for whatever reason, the driver of this car decided that rails were better than roads.
Portland Police have not named the person responsible for pulling this trick, but they got themselves a summons for driving to endanger.
The car got stuck between Lincoln and Coyle Streets and of course a freight train heading in the stuck car's direction had to be stopped until a tow truck could pull the car off the tracks.
These are very active tracks seeing multiple freight trains a day and several runs of the Amtrak Downeaster to and from Brunswick, so he was very lucky that things didn't turn out worse.
Maybe he was trying to recreate a scene from Back to the Future Part III.
