On June 14, 1977, it was the Portland arrival of Ronnie Van Zant and the guitar triple threat of Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, and Steve Gaines along with Billy Powell on keyboards, Leon Wilkinson on bass and Artimus Pyle on drums.

On March 15, 1988, Frank’s US Tour stopped at the Civic Center. It was his final concert appearance here.

29 years ago today, the Wherever We May Roam tour made a stop in Portland, Maine. It was a sold-out Thursday night at the CCCC.

32 years ago today, Diamond Dave arrived at the Civic Center on the Skyscraper World Tour. This was his 5th and last appearance onstage at the CCCC counting 3 trips with Van Halen in '78 (opening for Sabbath), '79, and '81.

This was Zappa’s third concert at the CCCC. It will forever be in our memory as the time we heard the coolest cover ever of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven as the encore.
