#TBT: 1973 Pepsi Commercial Filmed in Maine

Let's go back to the Blimp's first  year in flight! The year Richard Nixon told us, "I am not a crook." A gallon of gas was about 40 cents. The World Trade Center became the tallest building on the planet. Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon was brand new and blowing minds. 1973 was also the year a production crew and actors including local extras descended on the seaside town of Searsport to film a Pepsi commercial. Cool, huh. Wicked happy folks in the commercial are gathered for a weekend charity car wash and celebrating with ice cold colas. Bell bottoms, lengthy side burns, flared collars and a charming location in Maine. Groovy!
