Blimp Time-Hop: Happy Birthday Robert Plant

These days he fronts a band called the Sensational Space Shifters. He also worked with bluegrass star Alison Krauss in ’07 and in the Eighties was a member of the Honeydrippers with Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page.

And oh yeah, do we even need to remind you that he’s the voice of Led Zeppelin? Didn’t think so.  Robert Plant turns 71 today. 

Thankfully, he did make one trek to Portland 29 years ago in the summer of 1990 on his Manic Nirvana tour. It is still baffling to us that this show wasn't a sellout. Crazy, right?

He has been making music for over 50 years now and is still sounding incredible with that out-of-this-world vocal range.
