We checked in with New England's Number One Sportscaster, Mr. Tom Caron, who has the weekend off from NESN and is psyched to hang out lakeside in Maine.
Happy Opening Day! NESN's Tom Caron joined the WBLM Morning Show today and everyone seemed wicked excited that baseball is back! It's been 266 days in between MLB games
We checked in this morning with the Pride of Lewiston High School...NESN's Tom Caron. There is a lot "pending" when it comes to sports these days. The Red Sox opening day is next Friday. The NFL rookies are supposed to show up at training camp on Monday but the NFL has given the players zero direction on the protocol. The Bruins are at training camp and getting ready for the Stanley Cup Playoffs playing someone in Toronto. And the Celtics are in the "bubble" in Orlando getting ready to attempt the NBA season. WOW. TC covered it all for us
NESN's Tom Caron called into the WBLM Morning Show today to talk all things New England Sports. You remember sports. right? Our epic, insatiable, completely irrational passion for all things Bruins, Sox, Pats, Celtics, Revs, and more? Yes...THOSE sports. Things are slowly but surely starting to ramp up for all the major sports. The B's, C's and Sox all get going (hopefully) this month. The Patriots start training camp this month too!
The clues? "There's two of them." That would be TC's...as in Tommy C and Tom Caron. And the other clue? Blue Devil. As in the Lewiston High School Blue Devils. The proud alma mater of our great friend from NESN, Tom Caron! We had our first installment of "Captain and Celeste's Mystery Zoom" and we figured we would start with someone who knows what the hell they are doing on camera. It was so great to catch up with Tom on such topics as:
We are so lucky to have the working-from-home Tom Caron checking in with us every week. TC is just killing it on NESN right now-mostly just being life in his basement! This was a full week of serious (Red Sox Sanctions) and not-so-serious (The TB12 B&E) New England sports stories. And as always, Tom had great takes on all of them. Here's Celeste and Tom from the WBLM Morning Show on 4.24.20
Our buddy Tom Caron from NESN is making the best out of staying at home. He has an awesome show on NESN called, appropriately, "At Home with TC". Watch it weeknights at 8pm on NESN.
We caught up with Tom this week to see how he was doing in quarantine, and how some of our beloved Red Sox players are doing during this crisis...
Just like you, we are checking in on loved ones on the WBLM Morning Show. That includes our friend Tom Caron who is going a little crazy with no baseball. This would have been TC's 19th year on Red Sox broadcasts. Check out the interview where we talk about breaking into Fenway to do "the wave", plus get the lowdown on how Jerry Remy is doing. PLus Tom and Celeste commiserate on not being able to get their hair done. Hang in there TC-we can't wait to give you a High Five at Fenway sometime soon!
We checked in with NESN's Tom Caron today who was live with the Red Sox in what is now a canceled Spring Training. Tom gave us some great insight on how weird it is to be at Spring Training with the Coronavirus situation and what he will do next with no sports of any kind to cover or watch!
NESN's Tom Caron joins us every Friday morning to talk all things New England Sports. TC has a busy week ahead. He's calling the Beanpot final on Monday and then it's off to Red Sox Spring Training on Tuesday! Tom talked to the Captain and Celeste about the Mookie trade ( is it still happening?) who will manage the Sox and how he is a bag chucker when he travels. You know you get to your room, just check your bag in and then head right to the bar.
We got with NESN's Tom Caron to get his take on all of this. We also found out why TC should NOT be a weatherman or leave his job on NESN to be on Dancing With The Stars.
The great Tom Caron joined The Captain this morning to talk Red Sox Nickname Jerseys, the amazingJimmy Fund Telethon and what he liked for a name for the new Portland Hockey Team.
NESN's Tom Caron was at the David Ortiz Roast last night bat the House of Blues in Boston. While I don't think NESN will be able to run any of the highlight clips from the event that went "off the rails," Tom was able to give us some color on what was, shall we say, a colorful night of roasting Big Papi...
