Listen To Tom Caron’s First Interview After Getting Into The Maine Sports Hall of Fame
Maine's Tom Caron will be inducted into the 2021 class of the Maine Sports Hall of Fame. The inductees were announced yesterday, so we had to wake Tom up this morning on the WBLM Morning Show and congratulate him!
Tom grew up in Lewiston and played soccer (a goalie!) for Lewiston High School. He found his way as a sportscaster at WGME-TV. He then joined the upstart Portland Pirates in marketing, promotions, and radio play-by-play. In fact, TC was the third employee to be hired by the Pirates, who went on to win the AHL Championship in their first year. In 1995 Tom left Maine to move to Boston and start his illustrious career at NESN. The great thing about Tom (other than being uber-wicked-talented) is that he is SO PROUD of being from Maine, so this award is more than spot-on.
The Maine Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on September 26th at Portland's Merril Auditorium.

"We are committed to a ceremony this year," said MSHOF President Brian Corcoran. "Whatever the new normal is, we intend to be a part of it."
