By taking about a minute to fill in your name on a form letter at SaveOurStages.com, you'll be asking Congress to include our venues in the next stimulus bill.
Here's a great way to say celebrates the high-school or college graduate in your life. Put their name in lights! The State Theatre in Portland is doing a great thing and it's for a great cause. Here's your chance to treat that grad like an actual rock star!
We miss concerts so much right now. I don't think I've EVER gone this long without seeing some sort of live performance. And while it's tough for us fans, it's even tougher for the bands and all of the fine people that make their living putting on shows. We found this fantastic video on the State Theatre Facebook page. Lauren Wayne leads her squad with doing hundreds of shows every year at the State Theatre and Port City Music Hall. In this video, Lauren and her crew give us an idea of what it's like to be on the sidelines right now in the concert business. And how they even miss you pain in the butt people that can't find their mobile ticket. Hint...look on your phone.
Whether you were any of the shows or not this weekend, you'll want to watch this fantastic montage of night 2 featuring the songs of the Blue Album from the Saturday night show.
This incredible video featuring Tim (best guitarist in Portland, there we said it!) Emery is all we need to get pumped for this year's Beatles celebration at the State Theatre. His rendition of the guitar solo (originally performed by Eric Clapton) is spot on.
