Finally, A Day Worthy Of A ‘Wet Dream’ In Maine
I'm not sure if the heavy rain we're getting today will clear up the big brown and tan spots on my lawn. But, boy do we need it anyway.
According to our friends at the National Weather service in Gray, September 2020 was the driest one on record for the state of Maine.
Yeah it's been a long time since we walked into the house and dripped all over the kitchen floor. Don't even get me started on the soggy pooches making a mess when they are let back in with their muddy little paws..
Of course during this ongoing difficult year, I remind myself not to sweat it. Muddy wet floors still really aren't such a big deal. That's for sure. These moments are another lesson in patience.
So how 'bout we have a laugh during our first good long soaking in months. We could all use a lift while the sky continues to cry.
On every rainy day, the WBLM Morning Show has faithfully played that wacky song loaded with clever puns by Kip Addotta called Wet Dream. It was originally spotlighted on BLM's Sunday night airings of Dr. Demento Show in the 80s.
It's the perfect sing-along to help get us through the deluge. We always get a bunch of requests for that 'fish song' that's been played on every soaked morning for the last 30 years or so.
Sadly Kip Addotta passed away at 75 in August of last year.
His memory will forever live on here with this wicked silly Blimp classic.
The rain is expected to keep coming down through late tonight. Click here for the latest Blimp Satellite Forecast.
